Your friend probably underwent an abdominoperineal resection (APR) or Miles operation, in which the anus is removed together with the distal rectum and proximal colon is sewn to the abdomen which is named as colostomy or stoma. In order to reverse this APR or Miles operation, dynamic graciloplasty or implant of an artificial bowel sphincter may be performed. First of all, your friend should consult her surgeon and take his advice for this surgery and then proceed with the appropriate surgeon. I personally do not perform surgery on stoma reversals of patients living abroad.

If the patient lives in Istanbul, it will not be a problem for me to consult your friend. I would require all reports regarding previous surgery, and also follow-up notes. If you provide these, you my make an appoinment by contacting my assistant, but please note that you have to find someone to contact in Turkish with him.

As I mentioned in my previous reply, I cannot help you without the previous surgical reports in a seriously complicated case like this.

Dear Dr Korhan I think providing these reports is difficult but we will hopefully try to get them from the hospital where operation preformed. We thank you again
And will contact you in due course ınşallah good night
